Shipping Options

1. Free Pick-up (by customer) - This is a special service that is available for customers in or near Bruchsal. To avail this service:

  • The minimum order value should be 15€.
  • Prior arrangements regarding the date and time of pickup (from our Bruchsal warehouse) should be made by the customer, via email or telephone.

2. Shipment with a delivery company - This is the standard delivery option available for customers all over Germany. We ship with DHL and dpd. They will provide a tracking number and link to help trace the progress of the package.

Tip! Check SPAM folder if you don't see their mail in your inbox. Only 30 kgs (France: 25kg) can be sent in one box according to shipment regulations. If an order weighs more than 30 kgs, we will send it in two or more boxes. Where applicable only the first package will be charged for shipment and the extra boxes will be sent at the company's cost.

Conditions

  • We pay the delivery costs if the order is over 49€ within Germany.
  • We pay the delivery costs if the order is over 59€ within Austria.
  • Shipment through DHL costs 5€, independent of the weight and value of the order (within Germany).
  • Shipment through dpd (La Poste) costs 6€ per 25kg parcel (within France).
  • Shipment through DHL costs 7€, independent of the weight and value of the order (within Austria).

  • The packages are sent from Monday to Friday.
  • As per our experience, it takes 1-4 working days for the order to reach the customer after dispatch.
  • Only 30 kgs (France: 25kg) can be sent in one box according to shipment regulations. If an order weighs more than 30 kgs (France: 25kg), it has to be sent in two or more boxes. Where applicable only the first package will be charged for shipment and the extra boxes will be sent at the company's cost.
  • If the package returns back to us because the address or name on the doorbell was wrong, or the recipient is unknown, shipping may be charged (per box) for re-sending the package.
  • Packages that gets returned to Get Grocery (for any reason) cost 5 €. This cost may or may not be transferred to the customer depending on the circumstances and at the company's discretion.
  • If an order that has already been shipped, gets returned to us because the customer does not want it anymore and needs to be cancelled, shipment cost will be deducted from the order amount at the time of refund. Price of products that are damaged in this process will not be returned.

3 - Micro Shipment - Shipment of small orders is available at 1.75€ up to 400g & 2.75€ up to 700g (not applicable to glass bottles/tins/boxes and items with similar packaging). The package will be delivered in 1-4 days after dispatch. This is a useful and easy option when you suddenly run out of one or two items.

EU Countries - Shipping Fees

We ship to all EU countries and DHL and dpd are our logistics partners. Based on prices they charge us, we charge our customers less than that. Below are two sets of shipment charges per zone for the respective country. Estimated delivery time is 5-10 days.

In case of problems in shipment after the package has entered your country, you will have to contact the local shipment company/post. The country's local shipping rules will apply, for example with regards to home delivery, re-delivery, pick up of packages, etc. In some countries, home delivery is not possible and the package is taken to the post office. Please check before ordering. Get Grocery takes no responsibility for the freshness of vegetables ordered from countries outside Germany.

Trouble shooting advice

You see the wrong address on the tracking website?

Due to the DHL privacy policy, your address is only shown in parts on the tracking website. That does not mean that the parcel was shipped to an incomplete address. You can check on your order confirmation what address you used when ordering. We ship to the delivery address that you entered when ordering.

You have received only part of your order?

Due to the regulations of the shipping company, we had to send two boxes if your order is more than 30 kg (France: 25kg). Even if we dispatch them the same minute, they sometimes are delivered on different dates or with different trucks. Please wait and expect your second parcel most likely on the next working day. Please also track (details you can find in your customer account.)

Helpful information if you have not received your parcel to your doorstep (yet):

GERMANY:

  • Please always check the tracking email and check the latest status again.
  • In case your parcel is in a post office and you are asked to pick it up from there, you as a recipient can ask for a second delivery to your doorstep. Please fill this form https://www.dhl.de/nochmal-zustellen to request a second delivery attempt. Please fill the form carefully with the information from the paper note you found in your mailbox and/or the tracking link and make sure you get a confirmation email in the end because sometimes the pages just reload instead of confirming.
  • DHL customer hotline number - 0228 4333112. Please keep your tracking number handy if you need to give them a call.
  • Please carry your passport or personal id proof if you need to collect the package from a DHL pack station.

FRANCE (La Poste):

  • If you were not at home when the parcel was delivered: You can request a second delivery. A parcel that is taken to a post office will be kept there for 15 days to pick up. But with the tracking number, you can fill a form on La Poste website and choose that the parcel shall be delivered to your doorstep once again. This is what they write on the website: "You have received a notice?   • If it ever happens that you are at home and despite the fact that you were there, you still find a note that you were not at home and the parcel is being transferred to a post office, you can complain about this here: https://aide.laposte.fr/contact/colissimo/They even have this issue that one can choose from "La réception d'un avis alors que j'étais présent à mon domicile"
  • BEST SOLUTION if you want to choose a special delivery date: As soon as you get the tracking number you can visit the website of La Poste. There you can enter the tracking number and choose a delivery date. This is what they write on that website: "You have been informed of an upcoming delivery? Accidents / Delays / Exceptions

  • In case of delay, please track the order yourself using the tracking link sent by the shipment companies.
  • In rare cases, the box can get damaged during transit by DHL. In this case, the DHL usually repacks the box at their center and delivers. This can cause a delay of 2-4 additional days. If they damaged a parcel so badly that is cannot be delivered, it will return or they will inform us that it cannot even be returned.
  • In some cases delays can also arise at Get Grocery's end if some ordered product is out of stock and is expected in the next 1-5 days. If longer, the company contacts the customer.
  • Fresh vegetables are delivered to us on Monday and Thursday. Orders with fresh items can sometimes be delayed in case we don't receive the supply in sufficient quantity or on time. In some cases, the money might also be refunded and the order dispatched. The company tries to dispatch fresh items immediately after procurement. Please do not order fresh vegetables and fruit to countries other than Germany because the shipping time will probably cause the items to spoil.
