Baked Dhuska- Savory Indian Bread
A spicy and delicious gluten free breakfast dish.
Dhuska is a common food of Jharkhand, India. Which are deep fried rice flour and lentil pancakes that may be served with spicy potato curry or chickpea curry.

Ingredients
- Rice | 1cup
- Split Chickpea Lentil(chana dal) |
- Cumin Seeds|
- Chopped Green Chilies|
- Chopped Corriander Leaves| 2 tbsp
- Oil/Ghee| 1 tsp
Directions
Soak rice and lentil taken in 1:1 ratio in water overnight or at least for 4 to 6 hours.
Drain the water from soaked mixture. Add ½ cup of fresh water and grind to a paste like consistency.
Add in the chopped coriander leaves, cumin seeds and salt as per your taste.
Brush a pre-lined baking tray with some oil/ghee and pour the batter into small disks. Make sure you keep enough space between them.
Bake at 250°C for around 25-30 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown and crispy.
Tip~ remember to flip these disks when they are done on one side and brush them with oil/ghee.
These are best enjoyed with any curry. You can also serve it with some spicy green chutney.
