Kheer / Milch Rice
Kheer is a sweet dish made from rice mixed with water or milk and it is typically flavoured with saffron, cardamom, raisins, and/or various nuts, notably pistachios, cashews, and almonds.
Kheer is indeed the perfect dish to celebrate a festival or just prepare it as dessert at home after a hearty dinner.

Ingredients
1. Rice - 15 gm
2. Sabudana - 1 Tsp
3. Milk - 1.5 ml; 3,8% Fat
4. Sugar - 20 gm
5. Almonds - shredded
6. Pistachios - chopped
7. Saffron - few strands
8. Ground Cardamom - 1/2 tsp
Directions - First soak the rice for 10 mins in water.
Pour milk in a nonstick container and bring it to boil on a medium flame.
After the first boil, add soaked rice, some saffron strand and ground cardamom to it.
Keep stirring the milk in every 3-4 mins so it doesn't stick to pan.
Repeat this until rice are cooked and soft.
Add sugar when milk is reduced to half.
Top it with shredded almonds, pistachios and saffron strands in the end. Refrigerate and serve cold.
Special Information - Gluten free, not recommended for diabetic patients.
